Self-build with South African flare, Frimley…

In true South African style, our client celebrated moving into his self-build home in August with a BBQ!

The home is part of a wider self-build development in Surrey Heath, of which we helped to obtain Reserved Matters approval for the client’s plot in April 2022. We also assisted in producing the construction package drawings towards house completion in July 2023.

The four-bedroom house features a double height entrance atrium, large kitchen and dining area, study and a dressing room & ensuite to the master bedroom. The interior spaces have been designed with a strong influence from the client’s South African background, evident in the colour schemes used, but more specifically the indoor BBQ as part of the family room.

The layout and configuration of the house responds to the compactness of the plot for efficient use of space whilst the large, glazed elements allow natural light to flow into the home and create framed views of the verdant setting. We are pleased to see how great the house looks.
